On a warm September evening, some of our Cottonwood Institute community gathered at Woods Boss Brewing Company in Denver to raise a glass, connect, and enjoy some time together outside of the classroom and the field.

Members of our community came together at Woods Boss Brewing to celebrate Cottonwood Institute's outdoor programs. Our 2025 Happy Hour was a chance to connect with friends, supporters, and new faces over good beer and delicious kombucha. Thanks to the generosity of our hosts at Woods Boss, $1 from every pint sold went directly back to support Cottonwood Institute programs! We caught up with one another, swapped stories, and shared our commitment to CI’s mission, all while raising funds that will help more students get outside, build environmental skills, and create positive change in their communities.

Throughout the evening we played a get-to-know-you BINGO game and joined in a raffle where winners walked away with some swag! Staff, board members, former board members, funders, and partners from across our community were able to relax, catch up, and enjoy one of the last summer evenings together. As the sun set, the sky lit up with pink and orange against the city skyline, offering a beautiful backdrop and lovely treat to conclude the gathering.

Community members raise glasses of beer and other drinks at Woods Boss Brewing to celebrate Cottonwood Institute's programs. We’re grateful to everyone who came out to support Cottonwood Institute and to Woods Boss for hosting us with such generosity. Events like these remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a vibrant, supportive community. Together, we’ll continue creating hands-on environmental education programs that inspire students to dream big, dig in, and take action.

Here’s to many more evenings of community, connection, and positive change! Cheers!
